Connected to Organization --- not set --- Opportunity Title Description One of our most impactful programs is “Meals from the Heart.” Businesses, groups, families, individuals and organizations come to the House and make a meal for our families. When a child is receiving medical treatment for serious illness or injury, taking away the worry of “what’s for dinner?” is a wonderful relief. That’s why we try to have a fresh home-cooked meal every evening when our guests come home from what is often a stressful day at the hospital. The menu and date of the meal donation are completely up to the volunteers. We also occasionally have folks that want to make breakfast, lunch or brunch. Those are always nice treats for our families. We also have groups that come to make desserts for the families – these could be themed around a Holiday if you wanted to do so. Groups of up to 5 adults are invited to come to the House to cook and portion meals for 15-20 guests. We could really use some volunteers in the coming months!
