Must be Logged in 2024-02-26 16:26:13 898903 Emergency Food Network Response Evan Davis [email protected] Hi Evan, Thanks for your interest in volunteering at the Emergency Food Network! Your timing is perfect - we are hoping to expand our hours, and are looking for volunteers in a variety of capacities. We are hoping to add Saturday volunteer hours- would you be available to volunteer on Saturdays during the day, or would a mid-week time work better for you? At the moment, our greatest need is for Drivers or Distribution volunteers. These activities both occur during daytime hours: our driving shift is just one hour from noon - 1pm, and our distribution shift is longer from 11am - 4pm. Once trained, we ask our volunteers to commit to one shift a month, on a regular schedule. We are hoping to have a volunter tour/orientation session soon - please let me know if you'd be interested in attending! Best, Alaina [email protected]

We aren't open on Saturdays YET, but are hoping to be open Saturdays in the near future (assuming we can find enough volunteers who are interested). We are currently looking for volunteers to help with our Office (answering the phone and taking orders into the computer), Driving (bringing bags of non-perishable food from our pantry to our distribution site), and Distribution. There are more detailed descriptions of each of these jobs on our website here: https://www.emergencyfoodnetwork.org/volunteer Volunteers usually choose a particular jobs and agree to come in for one (or occasionally more) shifts a month on a regular schedule. Are you able/interested in making an ongoing commitment of coming in at least 1 Saturday a month? Do any of our volunteer opportunities interest you more than others? Each of our various volunteer teams are led by a different Board member. If you're leaning towards one particular role, I can connect you with that Board member who can give you more information and scedule a time for a tour/training. Thanks again for supporting our community! Best, Alaina [email protected]

Must be Logged in 2024-01-19 17:41:44 901685 Charlottesville NOW Contact Laura Hanson [email protected] Hey! My name is Laura, I've been in Charlottesville since August, still pretty new to the area. I am interested in helping out Charlottesville NOW because I believe there is much work to be done in regards to equality for women, and I want to be a contributor in that. My life's work is in life coaching, I am a Certified High Performance Coach, and it has opened my eyes to see how much growth potential there is in our female community (local, national, and worldwide). In my past, I gravitated toward male dominant environments and tomboy preferences, and I didn't quite understand why other women weren't living so freely. Throughout my journey, especially with coaching, I have gained so much understanding and clarity to see how challenging, and seemingly impossible it is for women to full express themselves in the world. Even though I am a woman, I realize I am only one person. I have a lot of curiosity to learn from other women about the things that are important to them and about the beliefs they have about themselves. I have a desire to empower women and ignite their desire to shine in this world. I wish to explore my curiosity from a place of peace, love, and compassion because I believe in taking action for what I believe in, instead of taking action against what I don't believe in. If what I'm saying aligns with the work you all are doing, particularly coming from a mindset of achieving growth through love and peace, then please reach out to my email or cell phone because I am interested in being a part of the Cville NOW community. Thank you, have a wonderful day. -Laura [email protected]

Yes, we have opportunities to volunteer regularly. Currently, volunteers can assist with regular trail maintenance (raking, removing brush and invasive species, etc.) or general maintenance of the property. We will also be constructing a large high tunnel over the coming weeks, so there will be additional opportunities to help with a novel vermicomposting operation and gardening. Or, if you are looking to do more virtual work, we also love to have volunteers help with our social media and website. Would any of those projects interest you? If so, we can meet sometime soon to show you the property and train you on how to use any equipment if necessary! Thank you again and have a nice day, Casey [email protected]

Must be Logged in 2023-06-27 14:44:19 899901 Ronald McDonald House of Charlottesville Response Srimann Ramachandruni [email protected] Hello Srimann, Thank you so much for your interest in volunteering at RMHC-C. I am always excited to tell people about the opportunities we have available here. We have a volunteer application form, which I attached – you can return via email or bring it with you when you come in to tour the House. This document captures information on your availability and interests, and also provides you with the basic policies of our volunteer program. As you probably know, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charlottesville offers temporary housing to families that do not live in our immediate area and have seriously ill or injured children at UVA Children’s Hospital. Our goal is to create a “home away from home” for families that stay here. Programs like the ones I mention below are so important and impactful to these families and volunteers make all of them happen. Special Event Volunteers: These can be either for Ronald McDonald House or for Red Shoe Charlottesville (a partner group that fundraises for RMHC-C) and are one-time happenings. I have a list of volunteers interested in Special Events that I notify each time we have something scheduled. General Volunteer: These are for projects that staff don't have an opportunity to complete during the course of the day. Projects like organizing our kitchen area or cooking a meal that we plan and where we provide supplies. If this interests you, we can arrange a time for you to come in each week and we will assign you to whatever needs to be completed – some weeks it will be kitchen work like portioning or prepping dinner, others we may have newsletter work like stuffing envelopes that needs to be completed, and sometimes we might need help with a special project or preparing for a special event. This can also be a one-time thing if that interests you. This is actually one of the best options for weekly, bi-weekly or monthly in-House volunteers as it allows us to utilize you as needed. You choose a time (usually one or two hours) and a day or days of the week and I put you where we need you on that particular day. House Library: We have an in-House library entirely staffed by volunteers. If this interests you, please let me know days and times or a day and time and we can add you to the schedule. We usually don’t open the library until at least 9 a.m. We often ask library volunteers to assist with other projects -- applying labels to the bags for Love Sandwich, stuffing envelopes for our newsletters or preparing goodie bags for our golf tournaments or special days for the families. In addition to the above, we have several urgent needs right now. The first is that we need a volunteer to pick up weekly donations from local businesses that donate food to the House. We currently need volunteers for Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The pickups work better for the various businesses if they are done before noon on scheduled days. Insomnia Cookies doesn't open until 11 a.m. so that one can’t be too early. Mondays: Chipotle and Insomnia on the Corner Tuesdays: Wawa on Pantops Wednesdays: Chipotle on the Corner Fridays: Chipotle and Insomnia on the Corner, Outback Steakhouse and Starbucks (one in front of Best Buy) Our last urgent need is that we need someone to perform basic lawn maintenance. We have a lawn mower and other tools and need someone to come in once a week and do the work. We usually start with a tour of the House. Please let me know what day and time work for you. Thank you again for your interest in helping us. Volunteer support has sustained us for over 40 years. Take care, Melissa Melissa L. My name is John Morales and I've been living in Charlottesville for the better part of 20+ years, I also eat plant based, although wouldn't call myself a vegan just yet. I saw you were interested in someone helping with social media on and potentially YouTube. I actually have a YouTube channel where I've been documenting my journey as a writer. Through this channel, I've learned a lot about storytelling and video editing. And would love to help you all create stories that help people learn more about your sanctuary. One idea that came to mind was doing a "day in the life" video, where we document an average day for you all running the sanctuary. We could show people what it's like as a volunteer and perhaps encourage more volunteers through that. We could also work on more story-focused videos about some of the animals themselves and their backgrounds. Encouraging people to sympathize with these animals and potentially driving donations. Let me know if you're interested and I can send you some examples of my work. Have a great weekend! John [email protected]

I just saw you were looking for people to volunteer with video skills and had an idea for how I may be able to help you get more members and donations. I currently have a YouTube channel where I've been telling stories from my own life. Through this channel I've learned a ton about storytelling and video editing. And think I could use these to help you! One idea I had would be to follow the journey's of a few members of your program and document how their lives have been improved by First Tee. Then I could make you all a promotional video sharing this inspiring story. This would make the idea more relatable to people who are interested, since they would see people like them participating. And it could also be used to encourage donation by showing the positive effects through powerful personal stories. Let me know if you're interested in doing something like this, and I'll send you some examples of my work. Have a great day! John [email protected]

I coordinate volunteer opportunities in the community for our school's families to work on together on a regular basis. If you think there might be the possibility of hosting a small group of volunteers (maybe between 5 and 20) of different ages (parents with kids) to work on trail maintenance maybe one Saturday a month, I'd love the chance to discuss possibilities. Thank you for your good work! Eric [email protected]
Must be Logged in 2023-01-23 16:27:17 958700 Autism Sanctuary Response ERic Anderson [email protected] Hi, Eric! Thank you so much for reaching out and for your interest in bringing volunteers to Autism Sanctuary! We would love to work with you to facilitate a monthly volunteer day! We have done trail maintenance with groups of 10-15 people before and have found it to be very helpful to us and fun for the volunteers, so I certainly think that we can host groups of parents and their kids here at least once a month. Do you know the general age range of the children who would be volunteering? I would say that trail maintenance is best for people who are in middle or high school, though we should have gardening projects for volunteers this spring that would be suitable for younger kids as well. I would love to start working with you on this volunteer project! Feel free to send me an email at [email protected] or call me at (434) 989-0581 to talk more and go over logistics. Have a lovely day, Casey [email protected]

We really appreciate your interest and support. Our organization is very small, and we don't really have space for 10+ people to volunteer together at our pantry or distribution site. The one thing that tends to work well with groups is a food drive. Would you all be interested in organizing a food drive on our behalf? You would have a lot of flexibility as to when you do it and how you structure it. You could collect food donations in your neighborhood or workplace, at a church or with a community group, or even solicit donations outside a local grocery store. If you're interested, please let me know and I'll connect you with one of our Board members who can give you some helpful tips and resources to make your food drive a success. Thank you for supporting our community! Best, Alaina [email protected]

This is the first year that we have offered wrapping so please be aware that I am certain we will have growing pains. With that said, we would love for you to assist us with this. Our tentative plan is to have families shop as they usually do in our Santa's Workshop and then bag the gifts with information about the recipient. We would then have your team wrap the gifts and staff would deliver them to the appropriate guests' rooms. I say your team because so far you are the first and only volunteers for this new program. I am certain that we will get others as time draws close. Right now, we don't expect to need wrappers until at least December 16 as we are waiting on several large toy donations to come in between now and then. Please provide me with dates and times when you are available and we will arrange to have paper and other supplies ready and a place set up for you to wrap gifts. Finally, because of the vulnerability of the families we serve, we do ask that volunteers wear masks while in the House. Thanks, Melissa [email protected]

Must be Logged in 2022-10-29 15:37:45 899901 Ronald McDonald House of Charlottesville Response VALERIE Zimmerman [email protected] Hello Valerie, Thank you so much for your interest in volunteering with us. I am very excited about the opportunity to tell you a little more about RMHC-C. As you may know, we offer temporary housing to families that do not live in our area and have seriously ill or injured children at UVA Children’s Hospital. Our goal is to create a “home away from home” for families that stay here. We offer them lodging to stay close to their child. This is why volunteers are so important. As you know from the United Way posting, we currently need someone with excellent handwriting skills to help with the creation of thank you notes for frequent donors. Initially, we would ask that a volunteer come to the House for a few hours a week to complete the task. The process we use is a simple one. Our data person creates a spreadsheet with a number assigned to each donor. That number determines which card and which note the donor receives. Your job would be to copy the appropriate note to the appropriate card and hand address the envelope. We would love to have you stop by the House so that we can show you the process and have you write a sample card. Please let me know if this is still something that interests you and provide me with several dates and times over the next week or so that would be convenient for you to stop by and meet with our Executive Director and me. Thanks again for your interest. Volunteer support has sustained us for over 40 years now. Take care, Melissa [email protected]

Must be Logged in 2022-10-05 13:19:41 899901 Ronald McDonald House of Charlottesville Response Makenzie Hawkins [email protected] Hello Makenzie, My name is Melissa Roberson. I am very excited about the opportunity to tell you a little more about volunteering at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charlottesville. As you probably know, RMHC-C offers temporary housing to families that do not live in our area and have seriously ill or injured children at UVA Children's Hospital. Our goal is to create a “home away from home” for families that stay here. That’s why volunteers are so important. One of our most impactful programs is “Meals from the Heart.” Businesses, groups, families, individuals and organizations come to the House and make a meal for our families. We try to have a fresh home-cooked meal every evening when our guests come home from what is often a stressful day at the hospital. We also occasionally have folks that want to make breakfast, lunch or brunch. Those are always nice treats for our guests. Sometimes, groups even come just to make desserts for the families. We also have volunteer opportunities within the House itself. These are for projects that staff doesn’t have an opportunity to complete during the course of the day. Projects like organizing our kitchen area, assembling veggie bags for our families to grab and take to the hospital with them or making and portioning dinner for our families. We also have outside chores, such as raking leaves or picking up trash. We also need volunteers to staff our House library during the evenings – this opportunity often involves special projects that can be completed while in the library, like envelope stuffing or assembling goodie bags for our guests or for special events. If you would like to know more about these or any other opportunities, please contact me at 434-295-1885 or [email protected]. Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us. Volunteer support is one of the things that has sustained us for over 40 years. [email protected]

Would you have any opportunities for him? I do realize that because of his age opportunities may be limited, but know that myself and my wife are hopeful that we can also participate alongside Ben. Thanks for your time, Chris [email protected]
Must be Logged in 2022-09-29 19:14:10 958700 Autism Sanctuary Response Chris Longen [email protected] Hi, Chris! Thank you for reaching out and expressing interest in volunteering with Autism Sanctuary! We would love to help Ben with his volunteer hours! Currently, we have two ongoing volunteer projects: trail maintenance and gardening. Trail maintenance typically involves clearing branches from the trails, removing stumps and invasive plants, and raking leaves or overgrown foliage off of the main trail path. Gardening would involve tending to plants in our raised beds (watering, fertilizing, checking for bugs, etc.), weeding around the plants, and (potentially) helping to expand our garden by building new raised beds. Also, while trail maintenance is a year-round endeavor, we will likely slow or stop our garden program during the winter, but it will be very active again in the spring. We have had a handful of young teens volunteer with us before (either with or without their parents) and are working with a good number of students at Western Albemarle High School, so I definitely think that there is a lot that someone Ben's age can do around here! And, of course, we would love to have you and your wife join him as well if you are able. I hope that this was helpful, and let me know if you have any further questions! You are welcome to continue messaging through this system, but, if email is easier for you, you can reach me at [email protected]. Have a nice afternoon, Casey [email protected]

You don't need to bring tools, but I would recommend that you bring work gloves, sunscreen, bug spray, and water bottles if possible. I also want to let you know that we're expecting to have rain late Friday into Saturday from Hurricane Ian, so there is a chance that we may have to cancel our volunteering events for this weekend. We are keeping an eye on the storm's trajectory and can let you know by Friday if we need to postpone volunteering until next weekend! Given the rain that we've had so far, we know that the trails would be too muddy to walk on, let alone clean. We're likely going to have a make up volunteer day next Saturday, October 8th, at 10am if you all would be available then. If not, let me know which weekends would work best for you and we can plan for another day! Have a nice weekend, Casey [email protected]

Must be Logged in 2022-08-16 15:54:17 898903 Emergency Food Network Response Steve Spence [email protected] Hi Steve, Thanks so much for reaching out about volunteering at the Emergency Food Network! We appreciate your interest and support. I would have to double-check, but I think we might have an opening in bagging, shelving, and/or distribution. This would probably be one shift a month, and it would be the same shift every month (for example, second Wednesday) so you would be able to plan your schedule around it. We would train you and then you would hopefully make an ongoing commitment to work that one shift a month for the next several months or more. (Most of our volunteers have been coming in for years!) The bagging and shelving shifts generally have some flexibility time-wise and can usually be done on an evening or weekend. Once trained you would work independently (or could bring a partner or friend to work with you). The bagging and shelving happen at our pantry; you would not have any interactions with clients and would rarely see other volunteers. The Distribution shifts all happen on weekday afternoons. Volunteers generally come in around noon and finish by 4. Distribution volunteers work in pairs (we would pair you with another volunteer, unless you have a friend or partner who would commit to volunteering regularly with you, and then you could volunteer together). Distribution volunteers do get to meet our clients and generally find this to be a very rewarding experience. If you're interested in learning more about either opportunity, plesae let me know and I can connect you with our Board members who handle our volunteer schedulind and training. Please also let me know if you have any additional questions about the EFN and our operations. Thank you for supporting our community! We need people like you to help us transform lives and communities by providing affordable housing to the wonderful families we partner with. We hope that by volunteering with us you will take away new skills and a feeling of achievement knowing that you have helped others. Build opportunities will be a little scarce this time of year, but please create a volunteer profile by following this link. Then if you see a shift posted that works for you, sign up! We are posting about 1-2 shifts a week. Most builds are age 18+, but there are a few days scheduled for ages 16 and 17. We always need volunteer support at our Habitat Store which offers shorter and more flexible volunteer shifts! Contact the Store Volunteer Coordinator with questions at [email protected] or go ahead and sign up for a store volunteer orientation. Once you complete an orientation, you can sign up for one of the many shifts we have Tuesday - Saturday! If you would like to see what we are building right now, check out our Current Projects Page. Must be Logged in 2022-08-03 18:59:33 912376 Hogs & Kisses Farm Sanctuary Contact Ashley Fowler [email protected] My name is Ashley Fowler, and I am the Manager of Operations for Georgia's Friends, a local nonprofit sober living facility for women in the early stages of recovery. As a part of our program, we've established an initiative called the Joy Project, which occurs the first Sunday of every month. This project was started as a way to expose our residents to healthy activities that promote joy - we've done everything from cooking classes, to Bollywood dance classes, to goat cuddling and kayaking. The goal is to broaden their horizons and hopefully find an activity they'll continue pursuing long-term. I would love to get our small group of residents together and take them out to your sanctuary to give back to the community in a volunteer capacity. Our Joy Project Sunday's are booked through October, so I wanted to reach out and see what, if any, type of hands-on help you would need in November? We can house up to 11 residents at a time, so there's a chance by November we would have 12 people able to participate. We'd love to get involved, and I look forward to connecting with you! Must be Logged in 2022-04-23 16:27:15 899691 Habitat for Humanity of Greater Charlottesville Response Kelly Mateja [email protected] Hi Kelly! We'd love to have you join us as a volunteer at the Habitat Store, thank you so much for reaching out to us! All proceeds from our Habitat Store support affordable housing in the Greater Charlottesville area. There's just a few things you need to get started: - Go to http://cvillehabitat.volunteerhub.com and create an account. - Then sign up for a one-hour Store orientation, offered on Tuesday and Saturday. - Show up for the orientation and we will then get you set up with a volunteering schedule that works for you! Once orientation is complete you'll be able to use VolunteerHub to sign up for many different shifts! What does volunteering at the Habitat Store look like? There are many things you can do at the Store, including warehouse organizing, donation pickup and receiving, furniture setup and repair, cleaning and maintenance, customer service support and special projects. We'll discuss all of the possibilities during your orientation. No special skills are required to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, just a willingness to learn! You can find more detailed volunteer descriptions here. Volunteer Shifts are typically 2-4 hours. We welcome volunteers Tuesday from 10-4 and Wednesday through Saturday from 10-5. On Wednesday through Saturday we have customers in the store. Thanks again for your interest, and please feel free to ask any other questions! Kindly, Rick Hazekamp Store Volunteer Coordinator [email protected]

Must be Logged in 2022-03-10 14:04:51 929455 International Rescue Committee – Charlottesville Response Maggie Zlotnick [email protected] Dear Maggie, Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the IRC. You can find out more about our volunteering opportunities here: https://www.rescue.org/volunteer-opportunities/charlottesville-va. This is the process for all of our volunteers: 1. Familiarize yourself with the IRC and review our current available volunteer positions. Choose 3 that best fit your interests, skills, and schedule. 2. Complete a volunteer application by following this link: https://rescueglobal.secure.force.com/volunteer/. Once your application has been received, the Volunteer Coordinator will contact you regarding upcoming Volunteer Orientation dates within 10 business days. All Volunteer Orientations currently take place on Zoom. 3. After you have attended a Volunteer Orientation and your application has been reviewed, you may be selected for a brief phone interview to discuss potential placement options. 4. Once the interview is confirmed and conducted, successful interviewees will complete the necessary background checks. To protect our clients, we require background checks for all our volunteers, and we ask volunteers to make a $35 donation to cover associated costs. Currently, 92% of our funding goes directly to our clients, and your help to cover this cost allows us to continue providing the best service possible. This step can add 1-2 weeks to the process, but is typically very fast. 5. Once cleared, you're ready to get started! Depending on your role, you'll either receive further training from your in-office department or will be invited to attend a tutor training before being matched with a family to tutor and/or mentor. Best, Katie [email protected]

Must be Logged in 2022-02-08 19:05:11 928803 The Free Book Bus Response Anne Drumheller [email protected] Hi Anne! Thank you so much for your interest in The Free Book Bus! I ask all potential volunteers to answer three questions: What is your favorite children’s book and why? What is your availability? For instance, do you have daytime/weekday availability? Are you available on weekends? Who is your favorite book character? And your least favorite (or favorite villain)? And here is part of an update I sent my current volunteers, just as an FYI: I wanted to update you on book bus volunteering. I had several large school visits planned (Venable, Stony Point, Greenbrier, Broadus Wood, all elementaries) but unfortunately omicron has pushed those back. I cannot keep enough distance between all the kids and get through the whole school in one visit. I am hopeful that I might be able to begin scheduling those in a few weeks, at which point, I would love help from anyone who is interested. Many of the stops I am doing now are either not really big enough for a second person, or, in the case of the stops for Afghan refugees, the IRC wants to supply their own volunteers. There have also been several times that I wished we were in a time period when people could come indoors to help sort large donations of books/toys. Anyway, this is really a note to say that I hope to have more opportunities in the near future, if you are still interested! All the best, Sharon [email protected]

We appreciate your interest and support. At the moment we are fortunate to have all the volunteers that we need, but I expect we will have some openings shortly for new volunteers. In the meantime, I would love to learn more about your interests and availability. Would you potentially be interested in stocking shelves, bagging groceries, answering the phone and taking client orders, and/or distributing food to clients? Can you be available on weekdays during the day? Once trained, would you feel comfortable working independently and making an ongoing commitment of volunteering at least once a month? Thank you for supporting the Charlottesville community! Best regards, Alaina Schroeder EFN Office Manager [email protected]

I was looking at the available options for what I could do to help and the administrative and speakers bureau volunteer jobs seem like something I would enjoy doing. I am currently in college and would not be able to volunteer until over the summer but am looking to get more information. I signed up for the volunteers pep rally and was wondering if there is anything else I need to do! Thanks! [email protected]

All of our volunteer information, training, and resources is done through our volunteer portal at volunteer.alz.org where you can go and explore all of our opportunities. On the portal you will notice that speakers bureau is not listed...it has actually been renamed as Community Educator. As you are exploring the website, please let me know if you have any questions. My email is [email protected] and I will also be on the volunteer pep rally call. You will learn a lot of what is currently going on with volunteers and how we are looking at moving forward during the pep rally! Thanks and take care, Rachel Lawson [email protected]

I am passionate about child welfare, public health, and justice. Please let me know where I can find more information and what next steps might look like. Must be Logged in 2021-04-07 14:16:00 906395 Piedmont Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Inc. Response Katherine Mars [email protected] Hello Katherine, Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Piedmont CASA! We look forward to meeting you! The first step is to attend one of our Information Sessions. We typically hold them in our office on the first Thursday of each month at noon and 6:00pm. However, given the current COVID-19 pandemic, we have curtailed our in-person sessions and have switched to holding them via ZOOM. Our website has the links to register for the time most convenient for you. Please note that you must pre-register to attend one of the Zoom Information sessions, but you do not have to download the Zoom app to attend the meeting. Follows is a brief review of the important, essential work our CASA Volunteers do, as well as an outline of the steps to becoming one: CASA Volunteers advocate in court on behalf of abused and neglected children in our community. In the last two years, there has been a big increase in the number of case referrals we receive from the Court. By the end of last year, we had served 293 children in our region. On average, CASA Volunteers spend about 10 or 15 hours per month on a case. They talk to teachers, counselors, family members, social workers, just about anyone who is involved in the child's life, at times that suit all schedules. The CASA Volunteer then compiles the findings of his or her investigation into a report for the court. Judges rely on this report in their decisions. Our CASA Supervisors work directly with the Volunteers in preparing the report, so you will have help and guidance every step of the way. The process to become a volunteer: Attend an Information Session Complete and return the Volunteer application Complete the interview process: a short telephone interview and an in-person interview Complete 42 hours of training (classroom, independent study, courtroom observation) - we have both daytime and evening training sessions to accommodate all schedules. Be inducted by the Court as a CASA Volunteer To find out more about our mission, history, children served, and frequently asked questions – please visit our website at pcasa.org. For stories about Volunteer experiences, check out the archived Spring Newsletters. You can find them on our website under the heading "Newsletters", which is just under "eNewsletter". Please let me know if you have any additional questions! Best, Sue [email protected]

Must be Logged in 2021-04-12 14:37:25 898903 Emergency Food Network Response Phyllis Joseph [email protected] Hi Phyllis, Thank you so much for reaching out about volunteering! My apologies for the delay in getting back to you - I was out of the office last week. Our volunteer opportunities are limited right now with the pandemic, and at the moment we don't have any openings for our regular positions (bagger, shelver, driver, office, and distribution). Would you be interested in organizing a small food drive in your neighborhood, or in some other group that you might be involved in? You could organize the food drive around your own schedule. If you're interested, I will connect you to our Food Drives Chair, Jacqueline Roper, and she can give you more information and suggestions for how to organize things. Thank you for supporting our community. Best regards, Alaina Schroeder EFN Office Manager [email protected]
