Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians volunteer to fill and dispense medications during evening clinic hours at our licensed, onsite pharmacy on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 6–8:30.Primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, specialists, and diabetes educators.These professionals see patients during evening clinic hours on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 5–8 p.m.Direct patient careNurses, EMTS, phlebotomists, and dental, nursing, and medical students — serve patients at the Free Clinic.Dental professionalsDentists, dental hygienists, and dental assistants help us care for patients during our day and evening clinic hours. We also rely on volunteers from UVA and the VCU School of Dentistry.Administrative supportVolunteers help support our clinic operations by checking in patients, preparing patient charts, handing out prescriptions, and scheduling patients.NursesNurses support our volunteer providers during evening clinic hours on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 5–8 p.m.Mental health professionals.Psychiatrists, psychologists, counselors, and social workers may volunteer to provide mental health assessments, counseling, and medication management for Free Clinic medical patients during evening clinic hours on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 5–8 p.m. |
