The First Tee Head CoachThe First Tee Coaches are actively enrolled in The First Tee Coach Program and attend network training over a period of 3-4 years. An individual interested in leading classes and dedicating more than 75 hours a year to instruction should consider this avenue.Life Skills class lead Assistant CoachLead assistant coaches organize and lead other volunteers in the delivery of life skills, golf skills, class set up, and procedures. They ensure that programming and activities are consistent with The First Tee Life Skills Experience.Participant Exploratory eventsHelp connect, plan, and deliver The First Tee exploratory events focused on helping our participants become College, Career and Community Ready.Photography, Videography and marketingHelp us capture, document and share all that is happening at The First Tee of the Virginia Blue Ridge.Life Skills Class Assistant coachVolunteer coaches assist head and lead coaches in teaching The First Tee Life Skills Experience to participants, provide positive feedback, and encourage participant behavior to help ensure a safe learning environment.Special Events VolunteerVolunteers that help with special events assist staff with fundraising events throughout the year. Support is needed with event planning, production, and follow up. |

How you help | Without caring mentors, positive youth development just doesn’t happen. We believe that a meaningful, quality relationship between coach and participant is vital to our program. About us | First Tee – Virginia Blue Ridge was founded in 2015 and officially received its national chapter license April 28, 2016. The chapter serves the city of Charlottesville as well as Albemarle, Buckingham, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, Nelson, Culpeper and Orange counties. Since our inception in 2016, we have launched programs across Albemarle and Greene counties and at Birdwood Golf Course, Meadowcreek Golf Course and The Highlands Golf Park, teaching our Nine Core Values and Nine Healthy Habits to over 9,193 area youth. |
