Our mission | The Charlottesville Chamber Music Festival, presented annually by the Virginia Chamber Music Foundation, was founded in 2000 by cellist Raphael Bell and violinist Timothy Summers, both products of the acclaimed Charlottesville High School Orchestra program. The mission of the Foundation is to increase the understanding and enjoyment of chamber music in Central Virginia and beyond. |

Ways to help |
Box office volunteerBox office volunteers are needed to sell tickets and hand out programs at concerts.Usher, Host Musicians, and Spread the WordYour help in spreading the word of the Festival to friends and colleagues, especially those newly arrived in our community, is greatly appreciated. Word of mouth and the recommendations of friends are far more effective than any media promotions! In addition to help with publicity, we also seek volunteers to help usher at concerts, host musicians, and much more.Musician housing hostHousing hosts needed for world-class musicians coming from out of town for performances. |

About us | In the past twenty-one years we have charted, together with our patrons and musical colleagues, a very special musical journey. We’ve explored a breadth of music, mined the core repertoire, discovered new sounds and rhythms. Our musical travels take us all over the world, but we always look forward to returning to our hometown. Our colleagues who have played here remember the warm welcome of our appreciative Charlottesville audiences. Whether you have been with us all along, or are just discovering the Festival, we hope you will enjoy the music. |
