Volunteers help in packing and distributing food.

Usually drives the same route, same day each week or every other week

Each and every weekday, Meals on Wheels requires the volunteer work of 34 drivers and 4 packers, and we could not do what we do without the contribution of these everyday heroes.

We also occasionally need help with simple administrative tasks: stuffing and sealing envelopes or answering phones. Special events can also call for volunteer assistance.

Volunteers must be currently licensed in Virginia. A three hour minimum commitment monthly is the usual volunteer time. Liability insurance is held by the Commonwealth of Virginia when you are registered with the Office of Risk Management.
