CAT is in need of a person or committee to help organize events and campaigns to raise money and other kinds of donations (such as cat food/supplies).

CAT is celebrating its 5th anniversary this year by holding a “Furball Fair” at Castle Hill Cider on May 7th, from 12-4PM. This is our largest event of the year, and we need help with event setup from 10am-12pm and tear-down from 3:45-5:15pm. (Items to be setup/tore-down include: tables, chairs, tents, and decorations.)

CAT is in need of a Marketing and Communications specialist to manage marketing strategy, to help circulate CAT needs and news to local media outlets, as well as assistance crafting particular media releases, and other public relations activities.

Our House families rely on donated items from several area businesses for breakfasts and lunches so we need volunteers to pick up these donations and help us feed families in need. We need volunteers to get donations from Starbucks (in front of Best Buy) on Wednesdays and Fridays; from Wawa on Pantops Monday, Tuesday and…

One of our most impactful programs is “Meals from the Heart.” Businesses, groups, families, individuals and organizations come to the House and make a meal for our families. When a child is receiving medical treatment for serious illness or injury, taking away the worry of “what’s for dinner?” is a wonderful relief. That’s why we…

One of the biggest ways that volunteers help Autism Sanctuary is through outdoor work like trail maintenance. This type of volunteer work typically involves trimming any stray branches or vines, removing growth that is too close to the trail path, and raking the trail to ensure that it remains smooth. We recommend that volunteers bring…

You can support us by donation, volunteering with us to serve as Board Member, or Staff. You can also support us by talking about us to people and institutions that could support our mission.

Several times during the year we gather to erect a fence for a lucky HOWS dog who will be chained no more! These un-chained dogs “zoom” around their new spaces, overcome with their new-found sense of freedom. You can be a part of the “zoomies”; no experience necessary. Come build a fence with us!

We often need assistance getting dog houses or lumber or fencing materials from Point A to Point B. If you have a truck, van, or trailer and would like to help us move “the big stuff” around, that would be awesome.

We love assistance with spreading the word! Lots of folks know about us, but lots do not. If you have ideas and the talent to get the good word of HOWS Project out there, we’re all ears!
