Volunteering with The Front Porch is a 4-5 hour commitment and includes tasks such as helping to set up and break down the event, pouring drinks, and working the box office.

Volunteering as an EMS provider with the CARS is probably very different from any volunteering you have ever done. Volunteering as a patient care provider takes a significant amount of time, requires uncommon dedication, and can involve significant emotional stress.

Volunteers that help with special events assist staff with fundraising events throughout the year. Support is needed with event planning, production, and follow up.

Provide presentations about Alzheimer’s, other dementias and memory loss as well as the Alzheimer’s Association to audiences including senior centers, health fair attendees, community organizations, clubs, congregations and schools.

Assist with the planning and execution of fundraisers such as Walk to End Alzheimer’s, The Longest Day and The Village at Gordon House 21st anniversary Bill Howard Golf Tournament. Committee member tasks include recruiting team members, raising revenue, increasing awareness and implementing event activities.

Help on an as-needed basis to assist with periodic projects, such as helping to man CASA information booths at community events.
