Anyone who is interested in volunteering at The Paramount — university students to seniors — is encouraged to become involved. The Paramount can use your help with a variety of volunteer opportunities, such as ushering, serving on committees, helping with artist hospitality, and assisting with mailings.

The SOCA Outreach Program is a community service program providing financial assistance, transportation, and registration assistance to families from around the SOCA area. The Outreach Program is always looking for caring, passionate individuals to volunteer as coaches, drivers, and mentors to make a positive difference in these children’s lives.

Opportunities include: fundraising, designing educational presentations, and providing marketing expertise.

Opportunities include: building enclosures, feeding baby animals, transporting animals to and from the Sanctuary, and going shopping for the Sanctuary’s food needs.

Volunteers provide administrative support to JABA programs on a weekly, monthly or seasonal basis across various departments. Tasks may include data entry, scheduling appointments, filing, administering surveys, preparing packets or mailings, and more. There may be a waitlist for this position.

Move cans and boxes from the cartons to the shelves at the pantry. Usually a one-hour shift, somewhat flexible in time-frame. Children may volunteer if accompanied by a responsible adult.

Fill bags with the items from our shelves at the pantry. Usually a 1-2 hour commitment any time that suits you on the one day a month for which you volunteer. Children can volunteer with a responsible adult.

We are looking for a few fluent Spanish-speakers who could translate our intake forms and resource pamphlets from English into Spanish. Translation can be done here in the office, or we could send you the information electronically and you could volunteer at home. Volunteer writers and researchers assist with member publications like the biannual newsletter each Spring and Fall which features short articles about OLLI members and events.
